Join a contracting and construction company as an experienced MEP Mechanical Engineer for a high-rise hotel project.
Manage mechanical works during peak MEP and finishing phases, coordinate specialist subcontractors, and lead testing and commissioning through timely handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 6–8 years of MEP works experience; hotel or high-rise experience is preferred.
- Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, and FCUs; plumbing; drainage; and fire-fighting systems.
- Experience with MEP coordination drawings and clash resolution, and hands-on testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and Civil Defense requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; BIM/Navisworks is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all mechanical works for the assigned project.
- Lead MEP coordination and resolve clashes with structural, architectural, and electrical works.
- Review and approve subcontractors’ shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Plan and monitor mechanical works against the project schedule and report progress.
- Coordinate with the consultant, specialist suppliers, and authorities, including Civil Defense.
- Plan and lead testing, balancing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
- Verify subcontractors’ executed quantities for payment purposes.
- Maintain quality and safety standards throughout installation and commissioning.
