Support engineering and project teams with installation, coordination, and as-built drawings aligned with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, and ELV systems.
- Develop and revise MEP shop drawings and prepare coordination, installation, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams on design changes and site requirements.
- Ensure drawings meet project specifications, applicable standards, and authority requirements; review accuracy and identify service clashes.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document-control records, update drawings for site teams, and assist with handover documentation.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or technical certification in drafting, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field; AutoCAD certification is preferred.
- 2–5 years of MEP Draughtsman experience, including proven MEP shop-drawing development for construction or MEP projects.
- Strong experience with coordination, installation, and as-built drawings and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
Technical skills and competencies
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is mandatory, with hands-on MEP shop-drawing experience.
- Good understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, and ELV systems; knowledge of drafting standards and construction documentation.
- Ability to coordinate drawings across multiple disciplines; familiarity with Revit is an added advantage.
- Attention to detail, communication and coordination, deadline management, problem-solving, analytical skills, and teamwork.
