Mechanical QC Inspector role with an EPC contractor delivering large-scale oil and gas projects.
The inspector supports quality assurance across fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Inspect piping, static equipment, steel structures, and other mechanical works.
- Witness and verify hydrotesting, pressure testing, and other testing activities.
- Check compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
- Review inspection test plans, method statements, and quality documents.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, contractors, and client representatives.
- Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and punch lists.
- Monitor fabrication and installation against approved procedures.
- Participate in project audits and quality reviews.
Experience and education
- At least 5 years of oil and gas EPC project experience.
- Experience inspecting piping, welding, and mechanical equipment.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Skills and certifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards, including ASME, API, and ISO.
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
- CSWIP, BGAS, or equivalent certification is preferred.
