About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in paper manufacturing operations to join our team in Cyprus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and improving the performance of mechanical systems and equipment within a modern paper production facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and reliability of paper manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Support production teams in improving machine efficiency, productivity, and safety.
- Manage installation, commissioning, and upgrading of mechanical equipment.
- Monitor maintenance costs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and technical service providers.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and performance analyses.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a paper manufacturing or paper converting facility.
- Strong knowledge of paper machine sections, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with CMMS maintenance management systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
