Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Lifeguard role based in Limassol Municipality.
The Lifeguard will monitor swimming areas to ensure the safety of all guests, maintain constant surveillance of pool or beach zones, and respond immediately and effectively to emergencies.
Responsibilities
include enforcing facility rules, providing clear safety instructions to swimmers, and performing rescues and first aid as required.
The Lifeguard will inspect and maintain safety equipment, report hazards or incidents, and keep the pool or beach area clean and orderly.
The role also involves collaborating with other staff members, attending regular training or drills, and following all operational and safety procedures set by the client and Glink Manpower Consultancy.
Qualifications
- Current lifeguard certification from a recognized authority (e.g., Red Cross or equivalent) and up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification.
- Strong swimming ability and demonstrated water rescue skills suited to pool or open-water environments.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and incident reporting practices.
- Clear verbal communication skills to provide instructions, warnings, and support to guests of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to remain vigilant for extended periods, multitask, and make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
- Professional, respectful demeanor with a focus on guest service and conflict de-escalation when enforcing rules.
- Physical fitness sufficient for frequent standing, movement, and performing rescues when necessary.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in another safety- or security-focused role is preferred but not always required.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons as required by the client.
- Familiarity with local regulations and health and safety standards relevant to aquatic facilities is an advantage.
