Role overview

Technical capabilities

• Experience across data governance, metadata management, data quality, master and reference data, data architecture, or data lineage and integration.
• Knowledge of frameworks and standards including DAMA, DCAM, CDMP, CMMI DMM, PPDM, and relevant national standards such as NDMO for KSA.
• Implement data management artefacts including operating models, policies, standards, glossaries, catalogues, dictionaries, data models, and stewardship processes.
• Experience with platforms such as Collibra, Informatica Axon, OneTrust, Erwin, Talend, or Alation, and integration with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Informatica is a plus.
• Exposure to data security, privacy, regulatory compliance, PII handling, retention, and access control for operational data.

Functional and leadership capabilities

• Lead client engagement, senior stakeholder interactions, proposals, commercial responses, business development, and account relationships.
• Translate technical concepts into business cases and ROI models; identify data opportunities for revenue, cost, safety, or operational value.
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams; manage engagement financials, resources, quality, risks, and escalations.
• Drive process improvements and change programs that embed data capabilities in business operations and develop market propositions.

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in data management or related disciplines; proven leadership of data governance, metadata, data quality, or master data programs.
• Experience leading proposal development, business development, and client relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; fluent written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of data management platforms and cloud ecosystems, with comfort handling OT/IT integration challenges in industrial environments.
• Consulting or Big Four experience is stated as a must; experience at leading consulting firms or global system integrators is a plus.
• Arabic and DAMA, DCAM, CDMP, or CMMI DMM certifications are preferred.
