Role overview

Technical capabilities

• Design, implement and mature enterprise data management capabilities; align frameworks and standards such as DAMA, DCAM, CDMP, DMM and PPDM with client operating models.
• Relevant data domains include governance, metadata, quality, master and reference data, architecture, lineage and integration.
• Implement governance operating models, policies, standards, glossaries, catalogues, dictionaries, enterprise data models and stewardship processes.
• Relevant platforms include Collibra, Informatica Axon, OneTrust, Erwin, Talend and Alation; cloud ecosystems include AWS, Azure and GCP. Informatica is a plus.
• Work across data engineering, architecture, data science and OT/IT teams; address data security, privacy, PII handling, retention and access control for operational data.

Client and commercial responsibilities

• Lead senior client interactions, manage expectations, present to C-suite audiences and act as a trusted adviser throughout programme lifecycles.
• Develop proposals and commercial responses, support business development and identify opportunities for measurable value from data management.
• Translate technical concepts into business cases and ROI models for investment decisions.
• Identify process improvements and deliver change programmes that embed data capabilities into business operations.

Leadership responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams, providing performance feedback and career development guidance.
• Own engagement financials, resource planning and delivery quality; manage risks and escalations appropriately.
• Influence executive-level stakeholders and translate complex topics into business outcomes.

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in data management or related disciplines.
• Proven track record leading data governance, metadata, data quality or master data programmes, and experience leading proposals, business development and client relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills; fluent written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of data management platforms and cloud ecosystems, with comfort addressing OT/IT integration challenges in industrial environments.
• Consulting or Big Four experience is described as a must.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience at leading consulting firms or global system integrators is a plus.
• Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
• DAMA, DCAM, CDMP or CMMI DMM certification is a plus.
