Manager – Banking Cloud & Platform Engineering (35857)

Opportunity

What you'll do

• Lead banking programs across cloud transformation, platform engineering, data, AI, cybersecurity, integration, and application modernization.
• Translate banking priorities, regulations, risks, and operational challenges into practical technology strategies and programs.
• Provide architecture-level guidance across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Lead platform and shared cloud service initiatives; guide governance, landing zone, identity, networking, security, resilience, observability, and architecture discussions.
• Guide teams using IaC, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, APIs, DevOps, and modern application delivery practices.
• Lead workshops, architecture reviews, roadmaps, proposals, presentations, and planning; shape engagements from discovery through delivery.
• Maintain client trust during delivery, remove obstacles, manage risks, and support successful outcomes.
• Partner with sales, delivery, and practice leaders on engagement growth and client relationships; mentor multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive experience across banking technology, cloud architecture, platform engineering, consulting, technology transformation, or related leadership roles.
• Experience working within a bank and/or delivering technology consulting to banking clients; banking experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in one or more banking domains, including retail or commercial banking, payments, lending, wealth management, capital markets, risk, or finance.
• Strong understanding of banking technology governance, risk, compliance, security, and enterprise decision-making.
• Demonstrated leadership of major cloud transformation, platform modernization, platform engineering, or enterprise technology programs.
• Strong understanding of Azure, AWS, and/or GCP, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of cloud governance, landing zones, IAM, networking, cybersecurity, resilience, observability, DevOps, IaC, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, APIs, and modern application architectures.
• Able to assess complex environments, challenge technical approaches, identify risks, and make practical recommendations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority; strong communication with senior leaders and technical teams.
• Consulting, professional services, systems integration, or technology-provider experience is highly desirable; account growth or business development exposure is an asset.
