Role overview

Technical responsibilities

• Lead investigations from initial scoping and data acquisition through analysis and reporting.
• Examine computers, servers, mobile devices, and cloud-based sources.
• Use standard forensic tools and techniques to extract, analyse, and interpret digital evidence.
• Maintain chain of custody and evidence integrity throughout the investigation lifecycle.
• Prepare detailed reports that clearly articulate findings and conclusions.

• Act as a primary client contact and provide clear updates on investigation progress and findings.
• Manage multiple concurrent investigations to agreed quality standards, deadlines, and budgets.
• Manage risk and compliance procedures for new investigations and follow regulatory standards.

Team and business development

• Mentor and develop junior team members across technical and professional matters.
• Foster quality and continuous improvement within the team.
• Support proposals, presentations, bids, and other business development activities.

Professional experience

• The role suits an experienced digital forensics professional with proven experience in professional services or law enforcement.
• Extensive experience with industry-standard digital forensic tools and techniques is required.
• Candidates should be able to operate independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Relevant technical skills

• Relevant tools may include Cellebrite, Axiom, and FTK Imager.
• Experience with forensic acquisition, analysis, evidence preservation, chain of custody, and reporting is required.
