Equipment maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on coffee machines, grinders, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, refrigeration, ice machines, and other food-service equipment.
- Diagnose failures, make repairs to reduce downtime, coordinate specialist service providers, and maintain repair, maintenance, and warranty records.
Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Maintain water lines, drainage, fixtures, water heaters, pumps, and filtration systems; resolve leaks, blockages, and pressure issues.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical systems and support air-conditioning, ventilation, and exhaust maintenance.
Preventive and general maintenance
- Conduct inspections and scheduled maintenance across stores, cafés, kitchens, and facilities; manage tools and spare parts.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, civil works, and facility repairs; respond to emergencies and assist with openings, renovations, and refurbishments.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or technical certificate in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in cafés, restaurants, hotels, QSR, or retail environments.
- Commercial coffee-machine and food-service equipment experience is preferred.
Skills and compliance
- Troubleshooting, plumbing and water systems, basic electrical maintenance, HVAC and refrigeration, and preventive maintenance planning.
- Vendor coordination, problem-solving, independent work, and managing multiple locations.
- Follow safety policies and local regulations; ensure equipment and facilities meet food-safety and hygiene standards.
Performance measures
KPIs include equipment uptime, preventive maintenance completion, response time, cost control, recurring failures, and health and safety compliance.
