Security and loss prevention duties
- Patrol property areas, secure rooms, and assist guests with room access.
- Conduct emergency drills, daily safety inspections, investigations, and interviews; audit key control.
- Monitor CCTV and alarms and authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas.
- Respond to emergencies and accidents; contact emergency medical services or administer first aid or CPR as required.
- Gather information and prepare reports, protect confidential records, and release information only to authorized individuals.
- Defuse disturbances, resolve hazards, handle complaints, and escort unwelcome persons from the property.
- Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and use proper emergency code responses.
- Assist management with employee training, motivation, and coaching; follow company procedures and protect guests, employees, and assets.
Preferred qualifications and physical demands
- Preferred: high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, at least 2 years of related work experience, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Additional licensing or registration may be required in some jurisdictions; no specific certification is listed as required.
- The role involves rapid movement to respond to incidents, extended periods standing, sitting, or walking, lifting up to 50 pounds independently or more than 75 pounds with assistance, and navigating stairs and uneven or confined spaces.
