Coordinate incoming and outgoing steel-product movement, deliveries, and distribution.
The role requires understanding steel products, material handling, shipping regulations, customs procedures, inventory, and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate deliveries and prepare shipping documents to expedite customer orders from stock.
- Handle emergency shipping and receiving, including after-hours and weekend on-call assignments.
- Update inventory data, resolve inventory and shipment issues, and conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Enter data, print daily sales orders, generate delivery notes, and prepare shipping documents.
- Support customer delivery requests and ensure steel materials are properly stored under company health and safety standards.
- Process orders on time by planning routes with customers, selecting transport modes, monitoring deliveries, and updating clients.
- Coordinate fulfilment status with stakeholders and resolve related issues.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in material handling or logistics operations.
- Hands-on experience with Hamriyah Customs is mandatory; knowledge of Dubai Customs and E-Mirsal is required.
- Good knowledge of steel products and related logistics operations is required.
- A bachelor's degree is required; a Supply Chain Management diploma is an advantage.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to coordinate with management, sales teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
