Business Development Executive – Inspection & Certification

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop business and approach prospects across construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, facilities management, marine, and other industrial sectors.
• Generate clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, site visits, and market research.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable inspection and certification services.
• Promote company capabilities, prepare quotations and proposals, and follow up through sales closure.
• Build relationships with HSE, QA/QC, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Facilities, and Project departments.
• Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, and internal technical teams to arrange services.
• Develop repeat business and annual or periodic inspection contracts.
• Maintain an active pipeline and report on enquiries, quotations, meetings, and conversions.
• Monitor market requirements, upcoming projects, and competitor activity.

Services and products

• Third-party industrial inspection, including lifting equipment and accessories, cranes, forklifts, hoists, earth-moving equipment, and pressure equipment.
• Non-Destructive Testing, API inspection and inspector supply, project QA/QC, expediting, project and pipeline inspection.
• Vehicle and equipment inspection, product certification, and ISO or management-system certification and related compliance services.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant business development or sales experience in inspection, certification, testing, or the wider TIC industry.
• Prior sales of third-party inspection and certification services is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of industrial, construction, and engineering markets.
• Knowledge of lifting equipment, industrial inspection, certification, QA/QC, or related compliance services is highly advantageous.
• Ability to generate new accounts and build relationships with technical and commercial decision-makers.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and coordinate with inspectors and engineering teams.
