Purpose of the role
An experienced professional works with general direction on complex operational activities and issues escalated from junior levels.
The role involves collecting, consolidating, prioritizing, and analyzing requests and delivering legal studies and opinions according to inquiry specifications and plans.
Legal advisory responsibilities
- Develop methodologies, guidelines, templates, and processes for legal inquiry research and advisory services across ZATCA functions.
- Evaluate and prioritize requests for legal advice; maintain current legal inquiry and support logs in advisory database systems.
- Assist with legal studies and provide opinions on non-tax, non-zakat, and non-customs legal inquiries.
- Advise on simple inquiries, clarify ambiguities, and recommend solutions.
Operational responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and practices, and follow applicable policies and procedures.
- Help resolve escalated issues and support junior team members; escalate complex problems to the appropriate person.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience is required.
