Data Management Director

Purpose of the role

Strategy, planning, and budget

• Develop Data Management Office business and operational plans aligned with ZATCA strategy and the Risk & Analytics strategic plan.
• Contribute to budgeting, ensure effective budget utilization, report progress and challenges, and propose initiatives that improve financial outcomes or mitigate risks.
• Develop data management strategies, plans, initiatives, and programs aligned with best practices, organizational direction, rules, and regulations.

Data management oversight

• Promote organizational awareness of data protection, automation, storage, and related laws and regulations.
• Direct data management policies, standards, and procedures; lead metadata and information asset programs to support integrity and quality.
• Define data owner roles, responsibilities, and rules to support data breach traceability.
• Monitor plans and projects, address data issues, guide improvement work, and oversee action plans for timely service delivery and fewer data issues.
• Review reports and data assessments to track compliance with data standards and policies.

People management

• Participate in identifying and recruiting key talent and guide, mentor, and support direct reports.
• Set performance objectives, support and appraise team members, provide regular feedback, and foster a high-performance environment aligned with ZATCA values.

Education and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or an equivalent field is required.
• A master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or an equivalent field is preferred.
• Eight years of relevant experience is described as optimal; three years of managerial-level experience is preferred.
