Final subject allocation depends on curriculum requirements and the candidate’s expertise.

Teaching and Academic Responsibilities

  • Support students’ quantitative, analytical, and financial decision-making capabilities, consultation, and progression.
  • Use learning technologies and financial tools to enhance teaching.
  • Contribute to subject coordination, curriculum review, continuous improvement, and collaboration across the School.
  • The appointment prioritizes undergraduate teaching while encouraging scholarly and academic contribution.

Essential Requirements

  • A completed PhD in Finance from a recognised university.
  • Academic grounding across core Finance areas and demonstrated ability to teach Finance at university level.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to use student-centred teaching approaches and work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience teaching several undergraduate Finance subjects and using case studies, simulations, financial datasets, or applied projects.
  • Industry or professional experience in banking, investments, financial services, corporate finance, or related fields.
  • Experience teaching culturally diverse or international cohorts; an emerging or established Finance research profile.
