Role overview
The Associate Lecturer (Instructor) in Psychology will support delivery of the Bachelor of Psychological Science program.
The role focuses on undergraduate teaching, assessment, academic support, and scholarly activity aligned with program development.
Teaching responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate psychology subjects, potentially including cognitive, social, developmental, clinical, research methods and statistics, neuropsychology, and applied psychology.
- Deliver tutorials and student-centred learning activities.
- Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Support student progression and academic development.
- Contribute to curriculum delivery and continuous improvement.
- Engage in scholarly activity aligned with program development.
Essential requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate psychology subjects.
- Sound knowledge across core areas of psychology.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse student cohorts.
Desirable attributes
- Higher education teaching experience; a minimum of one year is preferred.
- Industry or applied psychology experience is desirable.
- Interest in developing research activity and contributing to the program's research profile is desirable.
- Ability to engage with industry and support applied learning is desirable.
