Role overview

Responsibilities

• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust end-to-end business-process tests.
• Coordinate cross-dependency testing with other release train teams.
• Configure test tools to collect metrics for program and enterprise dashboards.
• Guide software engineers in maintaining automated functional tests through continuous integration.
• Build and adapt automation frameworks and test harnesses for end-to-end testing.
• Ensure teams understand and meet quality gates.
• Support major delivery initiatives across domains and environments, minimizing customer or business impact.
• Support team training and development in technologies and processes.

Required qualifications and experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience; iSQI Certified Agile Tester.
• At least 5 years of IT experience, including quality engineering on complex, scalable software solutions in digital, data, or enterprise domains.
• Experience leading software quality engineering across multiple products, with business-process input and scenario mapping.
• Experience applying systems thinking in large, complex organizations and maintaining large-scale test-data frameworks.
• At least 3 years using one or more listed test-automation tools: Selenium, Protractor, Jasmine, Cucumber, Gherkin, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Experience with Git SCM tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages; JavaScript and Java are preferred.
• Experience building UI and API automation frameworks from scratch and integrating them with CI pipelines.
• Strong expertise in context-driven and exploratory testing and practical testing heuristics.

Preferred skills and domains

• Experience with on-premises and cloud VMs or containers is preferred.
• Experience in airline operations, crew management, rostering, or other real-time, high-dependency domains is strongly preferred.
• The role calls for judgment about degraded states, recovery, disruption paths, and integration risk in live operations.
