Senior Technical Software Engineer - Java Full Stack

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy complex product solutions and review architecture patterns.
• Drive engineering practices, automation, lean development, built-in quality, test-driven development, and Agile practices.
• Assess solution viability with cross-functional teams; create high-level designs, proofs of concept, and prototypes.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues, assess new technologies, and present alternatives for architectural review.
• Contribute domain and technology expertise to sprint planning and communities of practice.
• Manage and mentor Software Engineers and oversee technical delivery and coding standards.
• Ensure approved use of enterprise platforms, tools, and libraries.
• Coordinate corrective, adaptive, preventative, and perfective product maintenance.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Experience developing complex solutions for large organizations, including data modeling, systems design, and full-stack development.
• Experience with production support using the ITIL framework.
• Experience with responsive websites, CMS deployment, IAM, SSO, OAuth 2.0, API integration, data privacy, and risk assessment.

Technical skills

• Java 11–17, Spring Boot and Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate, ReactJS, Redux, Node.js, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• REST and SOAP services, OpenAPI, design patterns, reactive programming, microservices, and cloud technologies.
• Oracle, MS SQL, PL/SQL, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, SAFe, JIRA, Confluence, observability, and Kubernetes/OpenShift security.
