Lead HSE Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental systems across major EPC oil and gas projects.
Serve as a key advisor to project management to support safe, efficient site activities that meet international standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Oversee HSE performance across multidisciplinary EPC teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Conduct site audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
- Ensure compliance with international HSE standards, including OSHA and ISO 45001/14001, and client requirements.
- Facilitate HSE meetings, toolbox talks, training programs, and safety campaigns.
- Monitor HSE metrics, KPIs, and trends; provide regular reports to project leadership.
- Drive proactive initiatives to reduce hazards and support operational excellence.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 15 years of HSE experience, including significant exposure to EPC oil and gas projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- NEBOSH and Incident Investigation Techniques certifications or training.
- ISO Lead Auditor for ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 is preferred.
