Lead Full Stack Engineer - Java

Role overview

Primary responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, review, integrate, implement, install, deploy, and maintain software components.
• Build scalable REST APIs for data exchange between healthcare systems.
• Provide technical direction across development, design, and systems integration from definition through implementation.
• Lead CI, CD, CT, automated code reviews, and Azure cloud development.
• Tune Java applications; identify production and non-production issues; provide application and infrastructure consultation.
• Work with engineering and QA, improve development and test environments, and mentor less experienced developers.
• Define solutions for functional and non-functional requirements; validate and justify designs and effort estimates.
• Follow company policies and directives, including changes to location, team assignments, schedules, and flexible work arrangements.

Required qualifications

• B.Tech, MCA, MSc, or MTech, with at least 16 years of formal education; correspondence courses are not relevant.
• 10+ years of Java API development and 10+ years as a full-stack engineer with Java and Spring Boot.
• 5+ years of React experience.
• Hands-on SQL queries and PostgreSQL experience; familiarity with an IDE such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, or VS Code.
• Experience with MVC, SOA, configurable applications, full-stack development, and leading DevOps CI/CD and CT setup.
• Experience with waterfall and Agile practices and cloud computing.
• Knowledge of Azure, Docker, container-based development, and automated testing tools such as Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito, or Selenium.
• Knowledge of cloud/distributed architecture patterns, Azure deployment and security practices, and analytical or proof-of-concept work.
• Ability to guide a team and provide status to senior management.
