Electrical discipline leadership

• Lead the electrical engineering team across assigned projects and allocate activities according to project priorities and competence.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and support to electrical engineers and designers.
• Review workloads and resource requirements and report needs to management.
• Monitor engineering productivity and progress of deliverables.
• Apply consistent technical standards and engineering practices across projects.
• Support recruitment, technical interviews, candidate assessment, and professional development as required.

Electrical design management

• Lead electrical designs for buildings and infrastructure, including medium- and low-voltage distribution, utility connections, substations, transformers, switchgear, and distribution systems.
• Oversee motor-control centres, emergency power, generators, UPS, battery, and automatic transfer systems.
• Cover lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, cables, containment, cable corridors, duct banks, and manholes.
• Address power distribution to utility and infrastructure facilities and interfaces with mechanical and process systems.
• Include renewable-energy and photovoltaic interfaces and EV-charging infrastructure where applicable.

Engineering calculations and deliverables

• Ensure preparation and independent review of load, demand, diversity, transformer, generator, UPS, cable, voltage-drop, short-circuit, protection, arc-flash, earthing, lightning, and lighting calculations.
• Review harmonic and power-quality assessments, motor-starting assessments, and capacitor-bank or power-factor-correction calculations where applicable.
• Use appropriate engineering software and methodologies and independently check calculations before issue.
• Lead preparation and review of design basis reports, criteria, specifications, single-line diagrams, schedules, layouts, routing drawings, and utility-interface drawings.
• Review substation and equipment-room layouts, cable and interface schedules, bills of quantities, material specifications, tender documentation, technical reports, and authority submissions.

Saudi regulatory compliance

• Ensure designs meet applicable Saudi Building Code requirements, including SBC 401 – Saudi Electrical Code.
• Apply Saudi Electricity Company requirements and engineering standards and the Saudi Arabian Distribution Code or Saudi Grid Code where applicable.
• Meet Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu standards where applicable and project-specific authority requirements.
