Role overview
Lead architectural design development and delivery for prestigious, high-profile special projects, including Azizi Opera.
The role reports to the Head of Special Projects and is based at the Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai.
The Design 360 Studio brings together Architecture, Structures, MEP, Landscape, Interiors, and Supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the architectural design team through all design stages.
- Oversee design from concept and schematic stages through detailed design.
- Maintain alignment with project vision, design intent, functionality, and approved parameters.
- Review and approve drawings, models, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with Structures, MEP, Interior Design, Landscape, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
- Report design progress, deliverables, and milestones to the Head of Special Projects and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with authority regulations, developer requirements, design guidelines, sustainability standards, and project requirements.
- Manage revisions and feedback; monitor schedules, deliverables, resources, and workflow risks.
- Mentor junior architects and improve design processes, standards, and team performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- 12–15 years of relevant architectural design and design management experience.
- Proven experience leading architectural design teams and delivering projects across multiple design stages.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and Rhino, including design development, modeling, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building regulations, authority approvals, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex design concepts into coordinated deliverables while maintaining design intent.
- Experience with opera houses, theatres, concert halls, performing arts venues, or other iconic, technically complex developments is an advantage.
