Role Description
Full-time Kitchen Steward role with Cartel Coffee Roasters in Abu Dhabi.
Responsible for kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, cleaning equipment and utensils, and supporting daily kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dishwashing area, and designated storage areas.
- Clean and store kitchen utensils and equipment properly.
- Assist with basic cleaning and preparation tasks when required.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain appropriate waste segregation.
- Follow food safety, health, and safety standards.
- Use and store cleaning supplies safely.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or shortages of cleaning supplies to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Requirements
- One year of Kitchen Steward experience is required.
- Prior steward or kitchen helper experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel is preferred.
- Knowledge of kitchen cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Good teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Pay
- AED 2,400–2,500 per month.
Work Location
- Work is in person in Abu Dhabi.
