Cartel Coffee Roasters is hiring a motivated and passionate Commi – Bakery for its kitchen and bakery team.
This is a hands-on position with opportunities to develop bakery skills, learn the company's products and production systems, and grow within the team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bakery and viennoiserie production, including croissants, laminated doughs, breads, and buns.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and production standards; assist with mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, and finishing.
- Prepare mise en place and support the bakery production schedule; maintain product quality and presentation.
- Follow storage, labeling, FIFO, and food-safety procedures; keep the work area clean, organized, and hygienic.
- Support senior chefs with new products and bakery trials; minimize wastage and handle ingredients and equipment responsibly.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and bakery team.
Candidate requirements
- Basic understanding of bakery production and dough handling.
- Previous experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, hotel, restaurant, or café is preferred.
- Experience with croissants or laminated dough is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn; ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Good attention to detail, organization, and hygiene; positive attitude and teamwork.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Pay
- Pay is AED 3,000–3,500 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
