Job criteria
- Previous Commis Chef experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering, or food production environment.
- Three to four years of relevant kitchen experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to assist with food preparation, cutting, portioning, and plating.
- Knowledge of proper food hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Able to follow recipes, instructions, and portion-control standards.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Physically fit and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Food Handling/Health Certificate is an advantage.
- International, Mediterranean, Continental, or high-volume restaurant kitchen experience preferred, depending on the outlet.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chef and kitchen team with daily food preparation.
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain portion control.
Compensation
- Pay is up to QAR 2,500 per month.
Schedule
- Flexible hours may include weekends and public holidays.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
