Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience as an F&B Cost Controller, preferably in restaurants, cafés, hotels, or catering operations.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage costing, inventory control, and stock management.
- Good knowledge of Excel; Odoo, ERP, or POS experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
- Qatar or GCC F&B experience is preferred.
- Immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor food cost, beverage cost, wastage, portion control, and variances.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Monitor purchases, receiving, transfers, issues, and consumption of food and beverage items.
- Review supplier invoices, purchase orders, receiving reports, and stock movements for accuracy.
- Prepare food cost, variance, and management reports.
- Analyze actual versus theoretical food cost and identify discrepancies.
- Monitor recipe costing, menu costing, and selling price margins.
- Coordinate with Kitchen, Operations, Purchasing, and Finance teams.
- Identify cost leakage, wastage, over-portioning, and stock discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Pay
- Pay is up to QAR 7,000 per month.
