Role overview

Application development

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Build responsive interfaces using React.js or Angular.
• Develop, test, and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Implement cloud-native solutions and support AWS and OpenShift deployments.

Collaboration and delivery

• Work with product owners, architects, DevOps engineers, and QA throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
• Monitor and resolve production issues while maintaining reliability and performance.
• Follow coding and security practices and participate in peer reviews.

DevOps and cloud enablement

• Support CI/CD automation for builds, testing, and deployments.
• Maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to batch processing and scheduling with Spring Batch and Autosys.
• Create technical documentation and maintain development standards.

Experience and qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on software development experience and proven Java full-stack expertise.
• Experience building and deploying microservices applications, with hands-on AWS and OpenShift experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Technical expertise

• Backend: Java 11/17+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, RESTful services, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Frontend: React.js or Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Cloud/platform: AWS services and OpenShift; cloud-native application development.
• DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD; Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL.

Preferred qualifications

• Large-scale enterprise application development experience is preferred.
• AWS or Red Hat OpenShift certifications are preferred.
• Exposure to Spring Batch and enterprise scheduling tools such as Autosys is preferred.
• Experience in BFSI, Retail, Telecom, or Digital Transformation projects is preferred.
• Preferred monitoring tools include Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
