Full Stack Java Developer

Role overview

Application development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications and web solutions.
• Gather and document requirements; translate them into specifications, user stories, and sprint backlogs.
• Build maintainable code, RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services; integrate third-party applications and services.

Testing and system support

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests; automate testing and document results.
• Debug issues, troubleshoot production incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Monitor and optimize application, database, and system performance; support deployments, tuning, benchmarking, and capacity analysis.

Agile collaboration

• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA, UX, and development teams; participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Deliver features on schedule and support CI/CD, technical documentation, coding standards, and security practices.

Experience and technical expertise

• At least 3 years of software development experience and strong programming experience in a modern language; Java is preferred, with Python, C#, or C++ also listed.
• Experience with web applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, relational databases, SQL, and Linux/Unix shell scripting.
• Backend expertise in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, and Maven or Gradle.
• Cloud expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation is listed.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.

Qualifications and preferred experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent practical software development experience may be considered.
• Financial services, banking, FinTech, or capital markets experience is preferred.
• Distributed systems, event-driven architectures, automated testing, cloud-native development, and secure coding are listed as preferred or exposure.
