IT Engineer

About the role

End-user support and systems

• Provide first- and second-level IT support across company locations and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and connectivity issues.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Outlook, email accounts, mailboxes, Active Directory accounts, permissions, password resets, and Group Policies.
• Manage file-server access and shared-folder permissions; set up, upgrade, migrate, maintain, and replace devices.

Infrastructure and networking

• Support Windows servers, network infrastructure, and IT devices; manage domain registration, DNS records, and hosting services across multiple domains.
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, Wi-Fi, basic switch settings, PBX systems, and internet connectivity.
• Coordinate with Etisalat, du, and other providers to resolve connectivity issues.

Security, assets, and applications

• Maintain Sophos endpoint protection and perform security patches and updates for endpoints, servers, and network devices.
• Assist with security policies, backups, data recovery, and incident reporting.
• Maintain asset registers, device allocation records, inventory, software licenses, domain renewals, IT consumables, and vendor contracts.
• Support CCTV systems, biometric devices, peripherals, Zoho Books, CRM, Campaigns, Desk, WMS, and warehouse barcode and label printing systems.

Branch coordination and reporting

• Provide remote and on-site support across company locations, including travel when required; coordinate with vendors and follow up on support tickets.
• Ensure branch IT systems comply with Head Office standards and assist the IT Manager with daily operations and assigned projects.
• Maintain network, access, asset, and support documentation; track tickets, maintenance, backups, and updates; prepare reports and escalate unresolved issues.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in IT engineering, IT support, or systems administration.

Technical skills

• Microsoft 365, Outlook, Active Directory, and Windows Server administration.
• Network troubleshooting, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and basic switch configuration.
• DNS, domain management, file servers, user access management, hardware troubleshooting, patch management, endpoint security, and IT asset management.
• Knowledge of Zoho applications and WMS is essential.
• Familiarity with PBX systems, CCTV, biometric devices, and barcode printing systems.

Additional qualifications

• Microsoft, Cisco CCNA, or relevant Zoho certifications are an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and follow escalation procedures.
• Willingness to travel between company branches when required.

Compensation and employment

• Full-time position.
• Pay is AED 5,000–7,000 per month.

• Work location is in person.
• The role includes remote and on-site support across company branches and travel when required.
