Role overview

Join CGI Montreal’s IT team as a Business Analyst supporting strategic initiatives in an Agile environment.

Help clarify, structure, and track business requirements and support delivery teams in understanding business needs.

Work mode is hybrid; the role is based in Montreal.

Responsibilities

  • Guide stakeholders in defining, managing, and prioritizing the backlog and participating in Agile value delivery.
  • Contribute to project vision, strategic direction, and objectives; maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Ensure teams understand backlog items and support technical requirements documentation for development teams.
  • Define and adjust project deliverables, scope, and release strategies as business contexts evolve.
  • Act as a reference point for business-requirements questions from developers and analysts.
  • Coordinate workstreams across plans, budgets, risks, issues, communications, and change management.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and recurring project meetings; collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, analysts, and integrators.
  • Identify initiative impacts on people, processes, data, and systems and engage stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of BPMN standards and ability to use available tools such as Viadee.
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology.
  • Excellent spoken and written French and functional English proficiency.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently; strong influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Insurance and financial services expertise, application enhancement project experience, and cloud knowledge are assets.

Compensation

  • The employer estimates a pay range of $60,000 to $110,000; no compensation cadence is stated.
