Role details

• Department: ICT; location stated as DIP, Dubai, UAE.
• Full-time, in person; working hours are 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
• Reports to the System Administrator or Assistant IT Manager – Infrastructure & Operations.
• Branch and warehouse visits may be required for installations and on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and VPN; support FortiGate administration and manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
• Maintain network diagrams and inventory; troubleshoot connectivity and coordinate with ISPs and vendors.
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, file shares, user accounts, Microsoft 365, and Azure administration.
• Perform server checks, patching, and log reviews; assist with infrastructure installations, configurations, and upgrades.
• Provide Level 1/Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, POS hardware, handheld devices, and CCTV; manage user onboarding and offboarding.
• Log and resolve tickets within SLAs and travel to branches or warehouses when required.
• Monitor backups and support restoration tests; apply endpoint protection, antivirus updates, and security patches.
• Follow IT security, access, and change procedures; report security incidents and support audits.
• Maintain the asset register and documentation; track procurement, deliveries, licences, warranties, AMC details, and renewals with vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in IT networks and systems support.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic firewall concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
• Good troubleshooting skills for desktops, printers, and network devices; good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to travel to branches when required.

Added advantages

• CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft MD-102/AZ-900, or CompTIA Network+ certifications are advantageous.
• Exposure to FortiGate, Azure, Hyper-V/VMware virtualization, and backup tools is advantageous.
• Experience supporting multi-branch retail, wholesale, or FMCG environments is advantageous.
