Our client is a well-established and growing real estate developer based in Dubai, with a portfolio of high-quality residential, mixed-use, and hospitality developments across the UAE.
As they continue to expand their development pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Interior Design Manager to join their team and play a key role in delivering exceptional interior environments across multiple projects.
The Role
The Interior Design Manager will be responsible for leading the interior design process from concept development through to project completion, ensuring that all designs align with the developer's vision, brand standards, budget requirements, and project timelines.
Working closely with internal development, design, project management, sales, and marketing teams, as well as external consultants and contractors, the successful candidate will oversee the design and execution of high-quality interior spaces that enhance the overall value and marketability of the developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full interior design lifecycle across multiple real estate developments.
- Lead the review and development of concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation packages.
- Coordinate and manage external interior design consultants, ensuring design quality and consistency throughout all project stages.
- Collaborate with Development, Design, Technical, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Review layouts, material selections, FF&E packages, mock-ups, and sample submissions.
- Ensure all interior design solutions align with project budgets, schedules, and commercial objectives.
- Conduct design reviews and value engineering exercises where required.
- Monitor project progress during construction and provide design support throughout the delivery phase.
- Manage contractor and consultant performance relating to interior design scope.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements, and company design standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in interior design, with at least 3 years in a management position.
- Previous experience working directly for a real estate developer is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or luxury development projects.
- Experience managing external consultants and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office applications.
