Overview
Our client is a Tier 1 infrastructure contractor with a strong and active pipeline of roads, bridges, and highways projects across the UAE.
They are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership across a major civils project in Dubai, reporting directly into the Commercial Manager.
The Role
- This is a hands-on senior position with full lifecycle commercial responsibility.
- You will be embedded within the project team and expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing all commercial activity from procurement through to final account.
- Full commercial management across live civils and highways projects
- Subcontract procurement, letting, and ongoing management
- Monthly CVRs and detailed cost reporting to senior leadership
- Variation management, claims preparation, and dispute resolution
- Final account negotiation and settlement
- Day to day mentoring and development of junior QS and commercial
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a QS role, with a strong civils or highways background
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 contractor is essential
- UAE or GCC project experience strongly preferred
- Solid working knowledge of FIDIC forms of contract
- Confident operating independently and managing commercial risk
