As part of its continued growth and expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its development team in Dubai.
This is an exciting opportunity for a design professional to play a key role in shaping landmark developments and contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development process from concept through detailed design and construction documentation.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design consultants, including architects, interior designers, landscape architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants.
- Ensure design solutions align with project briefs, business plans, market positioning, and development objectives.
- Review and challenge design proposals to optimize functionality, aesthetics, operational efficiency, and value.
- Drive innovation and design excellence across all projects.
- Monitor consultant performance, deliverables, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, Civil Defence requirements, RERA regulations, building codes, and other relevant authority requirements.
- Review technical submissions, design reports, drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
- Conduct value engineering exercises while maintaining project quality and design intent.
- Review design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and project objectives.
- Provide design management support during tendering, procurement, and construction phases.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material samples, and mock-ups.
- Resolve design-related issues arising during construction.
