Airswift seeks a Senior ICS Security Engineer to work in Qatar with a major oil and gas company.
The role provides ICS cybersecurity engineering support, implements and sustains security measures, and helps improve security strategies, policies, and design specifications.
Key accountabilities
- Implement ICS modifications in line with engineering specifications and procedures; develop equipment strategies for new projects and recommend upgrades.
- Review system and network architecture, design specifications, and interface agreements for compliance with ICS security specifications.
- Participate in risk assessments, technology evaluations, deviation requests, disaster recovery simulations, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Validate brownfield control system modifications in test systems through FAT and SAT; coordinate operational readiness deliverables and handover.
- Support ICS custodians, technicians, and engineering, development, expansion, and operations teams in applying security policy.
- Plan and conduct self-assessments, review and update ICS inventory, and help meet section and division KPIs.
- Control contractor and service-provider activities, conduct training, and support competency development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (instrumentation and control, electrical, electronic, or computer) or computer science.
- Six years of oil and gas operations, technical, or engineering experience, including ICS security experience.
- Experience implementing OT security controls and understanding of different ICS environments.
- ICS security experience and knowledge of networking, security tools, and monitoring such as IDS/IPS or SIEM.
- Knowledge and application of relevant IEC, ANSI/ISA, and API RP standards.
- Proficient in written and spoken English; computer literate; able to resolve ICS security design and sustainment issues.
