Role overview
Oversee and implement HSE policies and procedures across pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, healthcare facilities, and medical manufacturing operations.
Ensure regulatory compliance, minimize workplace risks, and promote a strong safety culture in line with Saudi regulations and international HSE standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise HSE policy and procedure implementation; conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi occupational health and safety regulations and applicable industry standards.
- Identify hazards, investigate incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor chemical handling, hazardous materials, storage, and waste management.
- Develop emergency response plans and evacuation procedures; conduct HSE training, awareness sessions, and toolbox talks.
- Monitor applicable ISO standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Prepare reports, maintain safety records, follow up on corrective actions, and coordinate ongoing safety improvements.
Qualifications and requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in one or more of pharmaceutical or drug manufacturing, pharmacy operations, healthcare facilities, or medical device and healthcare-related industries.
- Good knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, reporting, and risk management skills.
