Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) plans, policies and procedures for construction projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented to minimize workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with UAE health, safety, environmental regulations and client requirements.
- Lead and coordinate safety audits, inspections and site safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage and supervise the HSE team, providing guidance, training and performance monitoring.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities, including compliance with **Dubai Aviation Authority (DAA)** requirements where applicable.
- Prepare HSE reports, maintain safety records and monitor key HSE performance indicators.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- **NEBOSH Certification** (IGC/Construction Certificate or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Minimum **8 years of HSE experience** in the UAE construction industry with experience in managing large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of **Dubai Aviation Authority (DAA)** safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Thorough understanding of UAE HSE legislation, ISO 45001 standards and construction safety best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication and incident investigation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting/documentation.
