The Housekeeping Coordinator facilitates communication between the hotel's housekeeping department and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard, record, and collect keys and pagers in the Housekeeping Office.
- Answer calls, record requests and messages, and communicate them to relevant parties.
- Receive and manage lost and found items and claims according to procedure.
- Update and print Opera room discrepancy reports and submit them to Accounts and Reception.
- Compile monthly attendance sheets for payroll and submit them to Finance.
- Keep the Housekeeping Office clean and organized and file records and reports.
- Communicate guest requests and maintenance issues to related departments.
- Manage Do Not Disturb rooms, make guest service calls, and handle babysitting requests.
- Monitor office supplies, forms, and First Aid box items and order supplies when needed.
- Follow organizational environmental, health, and safety standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Follow hotel standards when answering calls and handling guest requests and messages.
- Follow established procedures for lost and found items and claims.
- Use the Opera system to update and print room discrepancy reports.
- Maintain housekeeping records and office supplies in accordance with department guidelines.
- Comply with organizational environmental, health, and safety policies.
