Role overview
Ensure guest rooms and hotel service areas are clean and orderly and meet or exceed established standards.
Housekeeping duties
- Collect daily assignments and keys, prepare the trolley and equipment, and complete work to performance standards.
- Clean guest rooms, replenish used items, arrange guest belongings, and clear room-service trays.
- Clean and replenish bathrooms, corridors, public areas, service areas, pantry areas, and fire exits.
- Inspect guest rooms and give Room Attendants timely feedback on performance and standards.
Guest service and reporting
- Attend daily briefings and communicate operational or guest issues for follow-up.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints and follow up to support guest satisfaction.
- Report lost, found, or damaged room items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Report maintenance work promptly to the Housekeeping Order Taker.
Standards and procedures
- Follow key handling procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Prioritize guest privacy when cleaning corridors and public areas.
- Uphold organizational environmental, health, and safety standards and procedures.
