Support daily housekeeping operations and coordinate with other hotel departments.
Room inspection and coordination
- Run sold-room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update departing-room status.
- Document and resolve room discrepancies with the Front Desk.
- Prepare, distribute, and communicate room-assignment changes; communicate issues to the next shift; complete required paperwork.
- Coordinate housekeeping work with Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
Team and guest operations
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow safety and security procedures, report maintenance problems and incidents, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, provide courteous guest service, and uphold quality expectations.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and work demands
- At least one year of related work experience and one year of supervisory experience are preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred; no license or certification is specified.
- Physical work includes standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for an extended shift; pushing a loaded housekeeping cart; and lifting over 55 pounds with assistance.
- Use computers and/or point-of-sale systems and read and verify work-related information in different formats.
Schedule
- Full-time schedule.
