Role overview
The hostess is the first point of contact for guests and helps create a welcoming, professional environment and smooth guest flow.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests; manage reservations, guest lists, and table allocations; escort guests and explain menus, specials, and promotions.
- Handle inquiries, requests, and complaints, and coordinate with service teams to keep seating and service running smoothly.
- Maintain welcoming reception and waiting areas, monitor waits, manage guest expectations, and assist with VIP and event arrangements.
- Keep reservation and guest-preference records, handle phone, email, and online reservations, and prepare reservation, feedback, and occupancy reports.
- Maintain luxury service, etiquette, presentation, company policy, and health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Qualifications and experience
- 1–3 years' experience as a hostess, receptionist, or guest relations professional in high-end restaurants, luxury hotels, or fine-dining venues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; polished presentation and confidence in guest-facing work.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Russian speaker with previous nightlife experience and experience handling high-volume guests.
