Raspoutine is hiring a motivated Commis Chef for the opening of a new concept.
The role supports the culinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while maintaining culinary standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie with daily preparation and kitchen operations.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control; complete mise en place for service.
- Follow recipes, SOPs, and HACCP; maintain clean, organized kitchen areas and handle equipment properly.
- Rotate stock and minimize food waste.
- Support pre-opening kitchen setup, recipe implementation, and training.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver smooth and efficient service.
Candidate requirements
- Previous Commis Chef experience is required; experience in a premium restaurant, high-volume venue, or luxury hospitality environment is preferred.
- Good culinary fundamentals and basic food preparation knowledge; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Basic HACCP, food safety, and kitchen hygiene knowledge.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, initiative, and adaptability.
- Previous pre-opening experience is an advantage.
