Full-time, non-management Host/Hostess position at The St. Regis Residence in Doha, Qatar.
The role welcomes and seats guests and supports dining-room service, cleanliness, and safety.
Guest service and dining-room duties
- Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
- Guide guests through dining rooms and assist as needed.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including seating groups with special needs.
- Ensure each guest has an appropriate place setting and clean, current menu.
- Keep menus clean, current, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
- Maintain work-area cleanliness using clean-as-you-go procedures.
- Monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
Work standards and physical duties
- Follow company and safety/security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets.
- Welcome guests according to standards, communicate professionally, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
- Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns.
- Meet quality standards and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is specified as necessary.
- No license or certification is specified.
