Welcome guests, coordinate seating, and assist them in the dining rooms.
The position is full-time and non-management at The St. Regis Residence in Doha.
Guest service and seating
- Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
- Guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance as needed.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including seating for groups with special needs.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
Dining-room readiness
- Ensure place settings include clean silverware, napkins, and other standard items.
- Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
- Maintain clean work areas throughout the day using clean-as-you-go procedures.
Qualifications
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is listed as a preferred qualification.
- No license or certification is specified.
- The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
Standards and teamwork
- Follow company and safety policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets.
- Communicate professionally, use appropriate telephone etiquette, support team goals, and uphold quality standards.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
