A fast-growing FinTech business in Dubai is hiring a Head of Data to build and lead its data function as the company scales.
The scope spans Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering and Analytics, including the team, strategy and technical foundations behind a data-driven product.
What the role owns
- Build and lead the Data Science, ML, Data Engineering and Analytics functions.
- Define overall data strategy, architecture and technical roadmap.
- Develop and productionize ML models that directly affect the product and customer experience.
- Build scalable data platforms, pipelines and infrastructure; establish analytics, reporting and experimentation capabilities.
- Partner with Product, Engineering and senior leadership on data-driven product development.
- Hire, mentor and scale a multidisciplinary data team; own data quality, governance and reliability.
What the employer is looking for
- Strong technical background across data science or machine learning and data engineering, plus experience leading multidisciplinary data teams.
- Track record taking ML or data products from development into production and strong understanding of modern data platforms, architecture and analytics.
- FinTech, digital banking, payments, lending, credit or financial services experience is desirable.
- Startup or scale-up experience and knowledge of building a data function from the ground up are strongly preferred.
