Work with a cross-functional engineering team in Synopsys's Mississauga R&D lab.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of PCBs, custom test equipment, and thermal solutions for silicon validation.
- Design high-speed, high-power PCBs and enable silicon characterization through layout and schematic work.
- Run PI and SI simulations, debug hardware in the lab, and identify design issues before fabrication.
- Document bring-up procedures, test protocols, and screening steps for consistent validation.
- Improve design processes, test coverage, and lab infrastructure; establish team standards and knowledge sharing.
- Deliver reliable hardware that supports product schedules, validation throughput, and customer demonstrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree with 8+ years.
- At least 3 years of engineering-team leadership, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- Hands-on experience through the full PCB design cycle and with PCB fabrication houses and design-for-manufacturing constraints.
- Proficiency with PI and SI simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, or equivalent.
- Strong lab troubleshooting experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and thermal imaging tools.
- Experience managing timelines and cross-functional product-development work.
Compensation and work eligibility
Base salary range is $154,000–$230,000.
