Role overview

Airport and cargo security

• Implement and monitor security measures across aircraft, operational areas, gates, entrances, and other controlled airport areas in line with approved SOPs.
• Implement and monitor cargo security procedures, identify violations or breaches, escalate findings to the Security Controller, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support aircraft protection through pre-departure and post-arrival security activities.
• Monitor compliance with airport and cargo security procedures and support corrective and preventive measures.
• Apply approved SOPs and propose improvements to security effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance.

Incident response and coordination

• Support the Security Controller in responding to security incidents affecting airport and cargo operations.
• Coordinate with Hub Operations stakeholders, government authorities, and private-sector partners on security operations and incident response.
• Support ongoing development of security personnel through operational guidance, training, learning, and shared best practices.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of security experience.
• Experience with aviation security, including cargo security and loss prevention.
• Experience in a leadership role.

Additional qualifications and capabilities

• Professional or academic qualifications in Aviation Security (AVSEC) are an advantage.
• Planning skills and experience implementing security preventative measures are advantageous.
• Experience coordinating rapid incident responses and training teams is advantageous.
• Keeping pace with current security practices and technologies is advantageous.
