Group-IT Platform Engineer – Azure role based in Dubai, supporting infrastructure services for more than 6,000 users worldwide.
The Group IT team designs, implements, secures, and operates enterprise infrastructure across Azure and hybrid environments.
The role focuses on reliability, availability, security, and performance across cloud, networking, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot enterprise cloud platforms and Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, VPN Gateway, and VNet Peering.
- Implement and maintain IaaS, PaaS, Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancers, and cloud networking.
- Establish platform and reference architecture and manage changes.
- Implement Entra ID authentication, authorization, SSO, B2C, and role-based access.
- Implement data permissions, document-level security, and secure access to internal documents and knowledge sources.
- Implement security controls and support vulnerability remediation.
- Manage backup and disaster-recovery solutions, including Azure Site Recovery; test backups and conduct recovery and failover/failback exercises.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure incidents and ensure recovery objectives are met.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture and network diagrams, standards, and operating procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of cloud-platform experience, such as IaaS, PaaS, or NaaS.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AI-200/300, Linux or Windows certifications, and development experience are advantageous.
- Good communication, adaptability, and leadership abilities.

- Azure networking, identity and access management, load balancing, security controls, backup, and disaster recovery.
