Business Development Executive role focused on achieving operating-income targets and converting sales opportunities.
The position concerns 3PL business, including logistics services and potential clients such as importers, e-commerce businesses, manufacturers and distributors.
Responsibilities
- Achieve personal Operating Income targets.
- Send quotations promptly and closely follow up on all quotations issued to clients.
- Prepare weekly sales-visit plans and record visit details in the GAC Sales system.
- Ensure credit approvals are in place for credit clients handled by the sales team.
- Assist Finance in maintaining receivables from credit accounts within agreed terms.
- Pass sales leads to teams within GAC and to overseas GAC companies and agents.
- Capitalize on sales leads and convert them into business.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in business development.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- Experience generating leads, managing the full sales cycle and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Understanding of the 3PL business model; knowledge of or direct exposure to warehousing/distribution operations, value-added services and ideally WMS or related technology.
- B2B and B2C sales experience is highly valued.
- An established network of potential clients is a major advantage; a strong client base is also an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with ability to work independently and cross-functionally with operations and solutions.
